Ruben Ramos Parras

Ruben Ramos Parras Sr., 67, of Colorado City, passed away March 12, 2012. Funeral services will be at Kiker-Seale Chapel on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. . Rev. Felix Silva will be officiating services. Family visitation will be at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home on Thursday,March 15, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Ruben was born in Alpine,Texas on July 29, 1944 to parents Francisco and Ramona Parras. Ruben married Rachel Rivera on July 26, 1968 in Alpine,Texas. Ruben taught school at all levels for 36 years , (4 years in Sanderson,Texas and 32 years in Colorado City). Ruben was a member of Primera Igiesia Bauticta El Calvario Church. Survivors are: Wife: Rachel Parras of Colorado City, Sons: Ruben Parras Jr and wife Melissa of Abilene,TX, Richard Parras and wife Donna of Burleson,TX, Robbie Parras and wife Belinda of Colorado City. Grandchildren: Marissa Parras, Robert Parras Jr., Ruben Rey Parras, Lilly Parras, Aaron Parras. Brother: Frank Parras and wife Elva of Odessa,TX. Sisters: Irma Lara and husband Leo of Alpine,TX and Yolanda Yniguez and husband Ramond of Alpine,TX. Brother-in-Laws: Salvador Hernandez and wife Suhjen of Chula Vista,California, Arturo Rivera and wife Rosa on Midland,TX, Felix Hernandez and wife Mary of Texarkana,TX and Joey Hernandez of Dallas,TX . Sister-in-Laws: Sara Portillo of Denton,TX, Rebecca Hinojos and husband Mike of Houston,TX, Lupe Rodriguez of Alpine,TX, Eva Dominguez and husband AL of El Paso,TX and Virgina Belew and husband Richard of Big Spring,TX. And many nephews, nieces and cousins.

He is receded in death by his parents: Francisco and Ramona Parras.
