Simone Sara Stewart, 72, went to be with her Lord on April 11, 2011 at her home in N. Richland Hills, Texas. She was born on November 14, 1938 in Ontario, California to parents, Lyle and Rada Abernathy. Simone married Richard L. Stewart on December 21, 1955. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1996. She is survived by her son, Richard L. Stewart and friend Glenn Hill of N. Richland Hills and her daughter, Lynn Yeager and husband Dennis of Midland, Texas, granddaughter Autumn Faucheux of Austin, TX , grandson, Stuart Yeager of Midland TX, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin brother, Jerome Abernathy and wife Jan in Bullhead City, AZ and numerous friends and admirers. Simone’s love of life, optimistic spirit and warm smiles touched the life of all who knew her.
Services will be held at Kiker-Seale Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on April 15, 2011 with Pastor Larry Chaney of Christian Fellowship Church officiating. Burial will follow at Loraine Cemetery.
