He was born on September 26, 1945 in Uvalde, Texas to Brigido and Adela DeHoyos Lopez.
Sippy was a happy-go-lucky man who worked hard for a living and loved his family with all his heart. After losing his mother at a young age he was raised by his father and stepmother Maria Lopez, who taught him his strong work ethic and that family was very important. He took those lessons to heart as he loved to work and was one of the best fathers and grandfathers a person could have. Sippy worked on a farm most of his life, when he wasn’t working Sippy could be found using his tools and tinkering with something outside or around the house. He enjoyed working on his trucks, drinking coffee, watching movies, or just talking with family and friends.
Sippy is survived by his daughter Diana Garcia and partner Patrick of San Angelo, by grandchildren Jordan Leija and wife Malary Mick, Isaac Silva, and Regal Silva all of San Angelo, Aleia Martinez, Ariel Martinez, and Tristan Martinez all of Sweetwater and great-grandchildren Madelynn Leija of San Angelo, Avah Soto, Autum Shook, and Evelyn Sandoval all of Sweetwater. He is also survived by his brother Pete Lopez of Loraine and sisters Margaret Acevedo of Brownfield, Benita Lopez and husband Danny of San Angelo, Elaine Williams and husband Lawrence of San Angelo, and Mary Bristo of Big Spring, as well as by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Teresa Lopez, by his parents, and by several brothers.
A funeral service for Sippy will be held in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 20th at 2 pm with a burial to follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery.
The family will be present for a visitation on Wednesday, January 19th from3-5 pm.
