.Wallace G. Hestand age 87, of Odessa, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014, in an Odessa hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 PM Monday, October 13, 2014 in the Colorado City Cemetery with Lynn Money officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Wallace was born October 23, 1926 in Colorado City to J. P. and Della Gist Hestand and had lived in Odessa since 1951. He married Charlene Corbell on November 19, 1946 in Colorado City. He was sales representative for Matcoate, OPI, and International Paint. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a veteran of the US Navy during WWII.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Charlene Hestand of Odessa, a son, Jerry Lynn and wife, Nancy Hestand of Colgate, OK; 2 grandson: Brian Hestand and Barry Hestand both of Odessa; a brother, Don Hestand of Grandview, TX and a sister, Mary Beth Lightfoot of Gault, CA.
The family will receive friends 12 – 1:30 PM Monday at the funeral home.
