

William Jerome Vanderpool Jr., 54 of Cleburne Texas passed away peacefully at the Community Hospice of Texas in Burleson on Friday, November 20, 2015 with his family by his side. William was born on February 11, 1961 in Colorado City to William and Victoria Lopez Vanderpool Sr..
William spent his entire working career in the oil fields working as a roustabout and on the oil rigs since the age of 16 and before that he could be seen working hard on the football field as he played for the Colorado City Wolves. William was a fun loving man who enjoyed being the center of attention and he never met a person who was a stranger to him for long. When not working he could be found out fishing or collecting rocks, of which he had a large collection.
William is survived by his wife Juanita Martinez and their children Dotty Martinez-Vanderpool of Belton, Amy Ritter and husband Timothy of Warburg, Tennessee, Adrian Vanderpool of Cleburne, Malcome Vanderpool and wife Joanne of Cleburne, and Matthew Vanderpool and wife Janette also of Cleburne, Roman and Cassie, Elizabeth and Dominick. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Brittany Arriaga, Fernando Arriaga Jr., Marcus Arriaga, Bethany Arriaga, Aca Vanderpool, Lyrissa Ritter, Emilie Ritter, Ashlyn Vanderpool, Aumaris Vanderpool, Zachariah Vanderpool, Arieannah Vanderpool, Kynlee Vanderpool, Eiyene Vanderpool Maximus Vanderpool, Roman Eli, Anaiah Marie, Giovanni Tidsco, and Gavin Martinez, as well as by his siblings; Linda Rodriguez, Cristy Talbert and husband Thomas, Annie Vanderpool, Darlene Rivera and husband Pete, and Dessie Vanderpool.
A Mass of Christian Burial for William will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Colorado City on Wednesday, November 25 at 10 am. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24 from 5 pm until 7 pm with a rosary at 6 at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home in Colorado City.
