The current uncertainty of our world limits our ability to celebrate her life with others in the traditional way. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Family graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A livestream of the services will be available beginning at 10:55 a.m. on the Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Facebook page.
Mrs. Medlock was born June 29, 1927 in Columbia to the late Gary Evans and Mattie Perry Carter. Anna will remembered as a Godly servant. A dedicated member of Calvary Church for 50 years where she served her church in many capacities including; Wednesday Night Suppers, volunteering in the nurseries, Vacation Bible School, Food Banks and Women’s Auxiliary. She also volunteered in the newborn nursey at Baptist Hospital. Most recently she was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church where she volunteered at their Food Bank.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Robert Ezra Medlock, Jr.; a son, Robert Evans Medlock; a daughter, Shirley Medlock Crane; three brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Jackie Medlock Kirton; a son, Randy Medlock (Barbara); thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Sondra Dyches, Bonnie Strange and Diane Sparrow.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Staff at Ridgeway Manor and also to the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for their kindness and friendship.
