Ann Lee Berry Baron

COLUMBIA - A graveside service for Ann Lee Berry Baron, 94, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2015, in Beth Shalom Cemetery, Whaley Street. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mrs. Baron died Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Born in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Louis Berry and Bella Brotman Berry. Mrs. Baron was a graduate of Columbia High School and worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She married her husband and soul mate, Nat Baron, on October 14, 1945 and loved her family dearly. She was an accomplished artist, an avid reader, loved classical music and supported arts in the community. Mrs. Baron was a member of Beth Shalom Synagogue for over 50 years. Surviving are her sister, Libby Weiner of Egg Harbor, NJ; nephews, Joseph Berliner and Joshua Staub both of Charlotte, NC and Stanley Weiner (Stacy) of Mays Landing, NJ; nieces, Reneé Ahern of Galloway, NJ and Deborah Sturm of Nashua, NH; several great nieces and nephews and other extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 49 years and sister, Mildred Berry Berliner. Memorials may be made to Beth Shalom Synagogue, 5827 N.
