COLUMBIA – A Memorial Mass for Ann Marie Parks Rossi, 83, will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, July 13, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Reception will follow at St. Joseph’s Administrative Building.
Mrs. Rossi passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Born in Toledo, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Burton Parks and Lucile Kanous Parks.
A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she served on the bereavement committee and volunteered in the Parish office. She worked as a volunteer at Providence Hospital and received the Volunteer of the Year award. In her early years, she was a flight attendant for United Airlines. She was a dedicated homemaker and ‘Gama’ to all friends of her children and grandchildren. She took care of many babies in the nursery at Eastminster Day School. In addition to her community work, she assisted with the books of the late Raymond J. Rossi’s Mechanical Contracting business.
Surviving are her children, Theresa R. Boyle (Christopher), Dr. Michael J. Rossi, Catherine R. Rider (John) and Christine R. Gage (Christian); grandchildren, Matthew Winstead (Katherine), Thomas Winstead (McCallie), Patrick Boyle, Marina Rossi, Anna Rose Rossi, Stella Rossi, Lucile Rossi, Jack Rider, Sarah Rider, Barbara Raynne Gage, Aldyn Gage, and Lindsay Murphy (Patrick); three great-grandchildren, Shepherd, Rossi, and Bennett; and brothers, Gerald Parks (Ann), James Parks (Phyllis), and Lawrance Parks.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond J. Rossi; daughter, Barbara “Bobbi” Rossi; brother, Patrick Parks; sister, Mary Katherine Parks; and stepmother, Agnes Kreuz Parks.
