COLUMBIA - Funeral services for Anne North Boylston, 94, who passed away on August 5, 2019 will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with Reverend Wiley Cooper officiating. Burial follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Columbia native, Anne was born October 7, 1924 to George Edward North and Annie Pearl Culclasure North. She was a graduate of Columbia High School and retired after 25 years in civil service with the US Attorneys Office as an Administrative Officer. Anne was a faithful member of College Place United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School, volunteered for Vacation Bible School and served as treasurer for the UMC Women's Group. Her entire life she was a servant of God and enjoyed helping whenever she could, she visited home bound church members and those in nursing homes.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 42 years, James Wyatt Boylston, Jr., sister-in-law, Dorothy Quick North, great nephew, David North, and granddaughter, Brittany Steen. Survivors include her two sons, James Wyatt Boylston, III (Norma), and John Edward Boylston (Sherry); a brother, George Edward North, III; eight grandchildren, Suzanne Boylston, Jamie Crocker, William Crocker, Justin Stevens, Lisa Maes, Eric Pugh, Ashley Proctor, and Jennifer Siddle; three great-grandchildren, Xavier Diamond, Ziaire Joyner, and Aidan Stevens; and one great-great grandchild, Zayla Diamond.

Suzanne, sorry to hear about your grandmother. I remember when she would drive you to work. My fun memory of her was when she called you at work asking how to close the sunroof on her new car. It was raining & she couldn't figure out what button to push.
