Jan and All of Dave's Family,

From the days in the mill in Franklin to the Design Team in Greenville to the construction, staffing and startup of the Eastover Mill, Dave was always a wonderful leader and mentor.  His thoughtful nature gave me pause to try to emulate that trait.  The one place I couldn't begin to emulate Dave was on the golf course!  His deceptively long and straight tee shots were a thing of beauty, and made mine look like wiffle ball by comparison.
But mainly, I will always remember Dave Fary, the friend.  His smile.  His unforgettable laugh ... even at a bad joke!  
My wish and prayer for all who knew and loved Dave is that our memories of a life well-lived will keep him forever among us.

I am saddened to learn that our dear friend, boss, mentor and leader, Dr. Dave Fary has left us and happy that he has joined the ranks of angels in the sky.
To those who knew him, he was an amazing leader and was one of the first Union Camp folks to scout out the Eastover Mill property in search of the perfect place to build the "mill of the future".  From the ground to the environment, to the machines, to the team members, Dave had his hand in every aspect of the mill, design, permitting, team systems , the community and setting the standard for quality operations with quality people. 
He was passionate to say the least!   He was loved and respected! The stories of Dr. Dave are endless! His rowdy laughter can still be heard in the halls! 
Dave and Jan dedicated many years to Union Camp and Eastover! We are truly thankful for their numerous to the community and our mill families. 
His legacy lives on for others to remember and emulate.  
Prayers for Jan, the Fary family and their friends.   With fond memories and good thoughts, blessings to all as we cherish the memories. Stay strong and keep the faith❤️

I knew Dave from my days at the Eastover mill.  He was always so smart and kind at the same time.  When I left Eastover, he told me I was always welcome back to the Eastover mill should I ever change my mind.  I thought about this many times over the years, and it meant a great deal!  I treasure the times I had with Dave and will keep those in my thoughts as I pray for peace for his family.

Jan and Family,     Dave was such a kind gentleman to have as a boss.  Our years of working thru getting permits for the Eastover Mill were ones I have always considered so special.  Many busy days at Union Camp in Franklin where Dave had an office and I was his secretary and Transcribing his many many cassette tapes was an education itself!  I always stood in awe of his genius mind!  

Sending my thoughts and prayers for all of you in memory of this special man.

I've missed Dave from the time that IP put their logo on the mill.  Dave not only knew how to build a world class paper mill.  He always knew how to treat us, the employees.  Always out and about in the mill.  The days of hamburgers and softball at the company picnics.  A man I've always respected and admired.  He has been missed but never forgotten.

Mr. Fary was well respected while a manager at the Eastover paper mill. His laugh was unique along with his personality. He is now heading home. God Bless the family...
