

Barbara Case Graham passed away on September 12, 2025, at Richland Memorial Hospital after a courageous struggle to recover from a stroke earlier this year. Born on February 2, 1944, in Camden, SC, Barbara grew up in Great Falls, SC. She was the daughter of the late Hattie Dixon Case and Furman Charles Case.
Barbara was married for 59 years to Malcolm (Mac) Graham. Her humor never left her, even as she battled to regain strength following her stroke. A devoted wife, aunt, and friend, she will be deeply missed by many.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Columbia. Barbara graduated from Great Falls High School and the South Carolina Bankers School. After a distinguished career in banking with Bankers Trust (now Bank of America), where she served as Vice President of the International Department, she later worked with several manufacturing companies. In 1999, she and her husband opened a freight forwarding business.
Barbara was also an avid golfer and enthusiastic Carolina Gamecocks sports fan. As a certified Master Water Aerobics Instructor, Barbara taught water aerobics at the Jewish Community Center (now the Richland County Recreation Center).
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Malcolm C. Graham. She was predeceased by her parents; sisters Ogreeda Case Gowan and Rosalie Case Baker Adams; brothers Raymond, Jackie, and Jerry Case; brother-in-law Bryan Graham; sister-in-law Judy Case; nieces Karen Woolard and Angie March.
Barbara is also survived by her sister-in-law’s Jane Graham, Pansy Case and Marlene Case; nieces and nephews Adrienne Graham, Jennifer Graham-Johnson, Joseph Graham, Kelly Ann Case, James “Chuck” Case, Elizabeth “Libba” Borbely, Glenn “Sport” Gowan Jr., Sherry Baker, Pamela Squires, Trina Miller, Shannon Case, Jacqueline Case, and Steve Case; along with her dear friend Vanessa Smalls and caregiver Lawanda Evans.
A service will be held Friday, September 19 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Columbia, Boyce Chapel, 1306 Hampton Street, followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road. The family will receive visitors prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Choir or the First Baptist Television Ministry.
