Bertie W Quick

COLUMBIA - A graveside service for Bertie W. Quick, 95, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mrs. Quick died Friday, February 6, 2026. Born in Lone Star, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Timothy Calvin and Hazel Mirtis Thomas Wadford. She was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church and served as Director of Preschool for the church for 60 years. She enjoyed baking cakes and was a talented seamstress. She loved making costumes for church performances and events.

Surviving are her son, Mikell Ray Quick (Karen) of St. Matthews; daughter, Paulette McCurdy of Columbia; brothers, Mitchel Wadford, Timothy Wadford; grandsons, Charles W. McCurdy II, Joshua M. Quick, Caleb G. Quick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ansel Ray Quick and a brother, Julius Wadford.
