COLUMBIA Funeral service for Betty Duncan Stewart, 87, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 1, 2016, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 29, 2016, at the funeral home Mrs. Stewart died Friday, February 26, 2016. Born in Red Springs, N.C., she was a daughter of the late James Duff and Callie Hargroves Duncan. She retired from the State of S.C. Department of General Services as an administrative assistant. A member of Northeast Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed gardening and playing the piano. Surviving are her daughters, Anna Stewart Albers (Tony) of Blythewood; Carol Stewart Rollings of Columbia; grandchildren, Dr. Amelia Anne Rollings, Grace Stuart Rollings; sisters, Louise Fowler of Titusville, Fla., Carolyn Herring (Billy) of Tabor City, N.C.; sister-in-law, Joanne Duncan; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry Moore Stewart; sister, Lucille Hilburn; and brother, Bruce Duncan.
