Candice is survived by her brother, William Kevin Sheppard (Alison), aunt Kathryn Garrick (Frank), uncle Hamilton Lott (Barbara), cousins Matthew Garrick (Jade), Christopher Garrick (Jessica), Connie Thackston (Stuart), Katie Hanson (John) and John Pope, nephew Zachary Sheppard and niece Alyssa Sheppard.
Candice graduated from Hammond School in 1986 and Converse College in 1990, She went on to complete her education as a paralegal. She worked for numerous law firms, and Richland County Probate Court. She was a very highly respected paralegal.
Candice’s health in recent years greatly declined. However, her great love was South Carolina Gamecock baseball. She held season tickets and faithfully attended games for years.
