He went to Lower Richland High School and graduated Class of 1974.
Carey worked at Square D in the warehouse from May 1975-1977. He went from there to AT&T in the technical support department, where he worked from 1979 until May 2012. After working for AT&T for 33 years, Carey happily retired in 2012.
He was a dedicated pet owner and provided a loving home for a number of adopted canine friends.
Carey's brother, Ronnie, passed shortly before him.
