A native of Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Roy S. and Caroline R. McBee. She was a graduate of A.C. Flora High School and attended Newberry College.
Survivors include her siblings, Roy S. McBee, Margaret M. McBee, Mary Wallace M. Coleman (Ralph), nephews, Jason W. Coleman (Cindy), Thomas K. Coleman (Rebecca) and their daughter, Mary McBee Coleman.
