Carson Graham Butzer

HOPKINS - A funeral service for Carson Graham Butzer, 22, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Lebanon Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Carson passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of Christopher and Emily Butzer. Carson was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He enjoyed cooking and grilling. With a kind and gentle heart and a great sense of humor, he loved making others feel special and bringing laughter to those around him. Carson had a deep love for his family and his fiancé, Allison, who was his high school sweetheart of six years. Carson was a high school graduate of Richland One Middle College, where he earned his certificate in welding before continuing his education at Central Carolina Technical College and obtaining an Associate of Applied Science degree in Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning. Carson was dedicated to his work and was employed with Trane Technologies as an HVAC Service Technician. A member of Lebanon Methodist Church in Eastover, he was actively involved with 2 Rivers Salkehatchie Summer Service, where he enjoyed using his craftsman skills to uphold their mission of helping keep the underserved Hopkins/Eastover community safe, warm, and dry.

Surviving are his father, Christopher Butzer; mother, Emily Butzer; brother, Jarret Butzer; loving fiancé, Allison McElveen; paternal grandparents, Stan and Theresa Nitz; maternal grandparents, James and Freda Jones; maternal grandmother, Diane Bell; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Richard E. Bell, and paternal grandfather, Carl W. Butzer.

Pallbearers will be Jarret Butzer, Austin Bell, Hayden Poston, Mike Bowman, Callen Harrelson, Sidney Caples.
