

Christina Marie Hicks, 35, of North Charleston passed away unexpectedly on October 4 at East Cooper Medical Center in Charleston. Christina was born in Columbia on July 13, 1981, to the late Frances Hicks Lee of Wilmington.
She was graduated from Dreher High School and earned an academic associate degree from Midlands Tech and a BA in Sociology and Criminology from Winthrop University. Her most recent employment was with Palmetto Surety in Charleston where she was a claims adjuster.
Christina had many talents. She became an entrepreneur a few years ago when she began making and selling personalized jewelry over the Internet and at craft shows. She had a tremendous ability to learn foreign languages, especially Spanish and German. She tutored many students in Spanish while in high school, college, and after moving to Charleston.
She was predeceased by her uncle, Ken Cliatt with whom she lived most of her life, Johnnie Keen Sr, and Roger Keen. She leaves behind Katherine, Warren (Andi), and Miles Cliatt; Deborah, Dennis, Johnnie Jr., and Chris Keen and Michelle Conley; a brother Roger Allen Keen, and numerous other cousins and friends across the globe from Las Vegas to Colombia, South America.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, conducted by long-time friend, mentor, and advisor Brother Paul Drake from Columbia Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
