

Mrs. Chrisula Manus Capilos of Columbia fell asleep peacefully in the Lord on January 28, 2022 at the age of 100. She is predeceased by her husband, John D. Capilos, son, Reverend Father Nicholas Capilos, and daughter, Elaina John Capilos.
Born in Columbia, South Carolina on October 7, 1921 to Greek immigrants parents, Constantine James “Gus” and Helen Kastanis Manos, Chrisula was the wife of the late John D. Capilos for 66 years. Mrs. Capilos was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and a charter member of the St. Katherine Philoptochos Society.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Avgerinos Capilos; two grandsons, John and George Capilos; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral with burial to follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation and Trisagion Prayers will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m in the church cathedral.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral Building Fund or Hellenic Community Fund.
