Cosmo Lowry Walker II

Mr Cosmo L Walker Il passed away peacefully on February the 4th 2026. He was born in Columbia SC on September 9 1929 to Robert Bratton Walker and Elizabeth Law Walker. He was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Walker Fensel, his brother Robert Bratton Walker Jr. and his niece Elizabeth Fensel Hobson.

Cosmo was raised at 1319 Devonshire Dr., where he learned to love riding horses around the Forest Hills neighborhood and Trenholm Rd before it was paved. Many summers were spent at Pawley’s Island when it was only accessible by ferry.

He attended Columbia public schools for early education and graduated high school from McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended and graduated from Washington and Lee University. He joined the United States Navy where he proudly served until his honorable discharge. He then went to work for Standard Savings and Loan until his retirement.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews Margaret Fensel Palmer, Francis Peter Fensel Jr, Robert Bratton Walker III, Pope Willingham Walker, Ellen Henderson Walker and James Felix Walker lI

There will be a family graveside service at 12:00pm at Greenlawn Cemetery on Saturday February 14th.
