David Dean Hallman Sr.

COLUMBIA - Graveside service for David Dean Hallman, 82, will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 22, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Mr. Hallman died Thursday, November 20, 2014. Born in Eastover, he was a son of the late David W. Hallman and Nettie Sue Ford Hallman. He retired from Pet Dairy after 38 years. Mr. Hallman enjoyed farming and sharing his bountiful garden with family, friends and neighbors. He was a lifelong member of Eason Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving are his children, Steve Hallman (Debra), David D. Hallman, Jr. (LaDonna), Anne Marie Sharpe (Chip) all of Hopkins; grandchildren, Cheyenne Humphries (Robert), Laura Register (Josh), David D. Hallman, III, Matthew Hallman (Cristen), Jessica Hallman, Tyler Sharpe, Samantha Sharpe; great-grandchildren: Shelby and Emily Humphries; Sydney and Sawyer Register; brother, Charles Hallman (Jean) of Moulton Ala.; twin sister, Ernestine Byrd of Lexington; and sister, Elizabeth Young (Claytor) of Eastover. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Myrtle Pedings Hallman; sisters, Maxine Grice and Hilda Hutto.
