I’m a former Kappa Sig and roommate of Dixon while we were at Duke in the early ‘60’s. Dixon and I are both from Ashland,Ky, and Dixon worked with me in the Summers — I was a left handed pitcher and he was my catcher. I played 4 yrs of Baseball and 1year of Basketball at Duke, and Dixon was a part of all of it!!
I remember when he started dating you Barbara- in fact we might have double-dated a time or two. So sorry to hear of his passing — RIP. My good friend— I ‘m sure that you are looking for someone to help up there with their fundamentals!!

He was one of the first people in my life to call me "Fletch". I fondly remember him like it was yesterday. Let me be among those who called him "Friend".

I played golf for coach Dixon in his final year of teaching and coaching. He was always so fun to be around and seeing those pictures of him brought back nothing but fond memories and put a huge smile on my face. Thank you Coach. We love you. Gone but not forgotten.

I had Coach Owens for history . He was a great teacher. He cared about his students, whether it was in the classroom or on the basketball court. He would tease me about not being able to talk the day after one of our basketball games. There will never be another Coach Owens. You will be missed.
