COLUMBIA Edward Lee Irby went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 23, 2015, at the age of 86. Ed was born in Washington, D.C. on April 24, 1929. Ed served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying with his wife, Amy. Many in the Columbia area grew to know Ed as their realtor and broker through his many years with Russell & Jeffcoat. Ed was a member of North Trenholm Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Amelia Frances Irby; his twin daughters, Patricia Gregg (John) and Pamela Seawell (Cal); three grandchildren, Carlee Sizemore (Parker), PJ Gregg (Marcus), Corey Seawell (Ashlyn); and three great-grandchildren. Ed loved life and was devoted to his family, church, and friends. A private service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
