COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Edward James Mims, 43, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Mims died Saturday, March 7, 2015. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Margaret Gunter Mims and the late Roy Edward Mims. He had a very infectious laugh, loved music and drawing. He was a member of Palmetto Baptist Fellowship. Surviving are his mother; sister, Margaret Diane Theriot both of Columbia; and his loving dog, Angel.
