COLUMBIA - A graveside service for Aynne Goldson Wood, 70, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2015, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Ms. Wood died Thursday, October 22, 2015. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Harry Lee Goldson and Dorothy Christine Darnell Goldson. She was fiercely independent and followed her own rules. She enjoyed music and dancing and loved to teach dancing. Ms. Wood loved her family, the beach, and loved to shag. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Shannon McWaters (Jim), of Columbia; grandchildren, Andrew McWaters and Delaney McWaters, Emily Goldson, Paul “P.J.” Martin, Jr., Katie Ann Martin; sister, Helen Jones (Danny); and brother, James Goldson. She was predeceased by her son, John Byron Goldson; daughter, Stephanie Leigh Martin; sister, Harriet Anderson and her cat, Tange.
