

COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Elizabeth Hunt Olson, 92, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Mrs. Olson passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014, in Lawrenceville, Ga., where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Irving William Hunt Sr. and Eva Lever Hunt. She retired from Sherrill and Townsend Law Firm in Columbia in 1989. She later returned to work part time at Sherrill and Roof Law Firm, before retiring a second time and moving to Lawrenceville. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who touched the lives of many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nels Garfield Olson. Surviving are her daughter and son-in law, Shirley and Doug Glenn; grandchildren, Jay and Fei Rawl of Covington, Ga., Elizabeth and Keith Hunt of Monroe, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Spring, Eugene and Avery Rawl, Davis, Mason and Eva Hunt; sister, Margaret Sloop of Dunwoody, Ga.; sister-in-law, Carolyn Hunt of Chapin; and many nieces and nephews.
