Eric Michael Weese

Eric was a lifelong resident of Columbia, South Carolina. He worked in the hospitality and foodservice industry, gaining extensive experience throughout the Columbia area. At the time of his passing, he was employed at Tombo Grille.

Eric was a passionate collector of books and had an extensive personal library. His eclectic interests ranged from cookbooks to banned books and everything in between. He loved to cook and create new and wonderful dishes for both his work and his family. He truly expressed his love through food.

Eric was cherished by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his parents, Wanda Michaux Weese and Michael Clark Weese; his sister, Erin Longshore (Drew) of Charleston; his aunts, Marcia Weese and Gail Hayden (Herb); his uncle, Todd Hoover; and several cousins. Eric also leaves behind his beloved dog, Duce. He often said that adopting Duce was "his best decision ever."

Eric was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Zella Jean (Hall) and C.W.

Shumpert; his paternal grandparents, Clara (DeWolfe) and Gerald Weese; his uncles, Mark Weese and Richard Hoover; and his cousin, Trey Huntington.
