Faron was a beloved son and friend to many. He was a 1980 graduate of Swansea High School, where he lettered in football and baseball. He was a carpenter by trade, and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.
Surviving are his son, Patrick Lee Mangum; mother, Esther Elizabeth Lominick Mangum, sister, Kathryn Wooten (Walter); niece, Shannon Zakes; aunt, Ralphetta Chappell; cousins, Beau Chappell and Karen Balaze; and his faithful companion, his dog, Chunkers.
He was predeceased by his father, Edward E. Mangum
The family wishes to thank friends who helped and brought food to him. The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at MUSC of Charleston.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2023 in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
