Frances Riley Moore

Frances Huggins Riley Moore, age 96, peacefully passed away on December 22, 2016 in the loving care of The Elizabeth House in Hendersonville N.C. Frances was born on March 29, 1920, in Columbia S.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Capers Huggins and Kate Taylor Huggins and her brother, Jesse Capers Huggins Jr. In addition, she was preceded in death by Edwin E Riley and John Morris Moore. Surviving are her sons, Edwin E. Riley Jr., Robert Leslie Riley (Susie) and Roy Capers Riley (Arlene), as well as seven wonderful grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Not only a loving mother, she was an amazing grandmother and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and was known to everyone as simply “Mee Maw”. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia SC 29209. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Elizabeth House at Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 581 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
