

COLUMBIA - Garry A. Beasley, 60, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016. The family will receive visitors at First Baptist Church of Columbia, Monday, August 8th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Services will be held in his home state of Indiana. Born on February 19, 1956 in Seymour, Indiana, he was the son of Ben A. Beasley and Helen Nichter Beasley of Columbus, Indiana.
Garry was a beloved son, husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Columbia, a graduate of Columbus North High School in Indiana and attended the University of Oklahoma, where he received a Bachelor’s degree, and later received a Master’s degree from Southern Methodist University.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Julie Cosentino Beasley; daughters, Anne Pierce (Gene) of Columbia and Paige French (John) of Athens, Georgia; grandchildren, Ben, McLean, Piper, Mary Elizabeth, Larken, William, Anne Marie, and Faeren; brothers, Terry Beasley of Indiana and David Beasley of Ohio; and sister, Perian Liffick, of Indiana and many loving family and friends.
Garry was a member of The University of Oklahoma Gymnastics Team which won NCAA National Championship Titles in 1977 and 1978. He was a faithful member of his church and community having served as a church deacon and held leadership roles in many business organizations. His influence was far reaching as he mentored and encouraged so many in every phase of his life. He loved his family and friends, the game of golf, and mostly his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
