Gary Gordon Dannelly

A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Monday, July 23, 2018 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.

Gary was born December 5, 1952 in Columbia to Hartley Gordon and Elizabeth Reames Dannelly. He was a graduate of Washington and Lee University and received his Master’s in Accounting from the University of South Carolina. Gary accumulated over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently as a Principal at Anchor Investment Management. He enjoyed all aspects of his profession especially the many lasting relationships he built throughout his career. Gary loved sports and was a lifelong fan of Gamecock Athletics. Most of all he adored spending time with his family and friends. Gary’s sense of humor and easy going personality will be missed by all.

Gary was predeceased by his father, Hartley Gordon Dannelly. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Kathryn; son, Edward; and daughter, Annabel. Also surviving are his mother, Elizabeth Dannelly; a sister, Donna Reid (Richard); and many nieces and nephews.
