George McKiever Floyd

Agnes, Adair, George Jr., Della, and Families,
I am one of many that have been blessed by knowing your father. Although it was decades ago, I've often thought of the inspiration and support George gave to me during my time with him at NCR. Now, I am heartened to read of the wonderful full life he has had, especially the work he did for the Lord at First Presbyterian Church.
I regret not being able to be with you for the service in Columbia. You are all in my prayers during this time. As I think of you all, the sadness is overtaken by joy as I think of George happy at home with our Lord Jesus, May the Lord send his consolation and joy to you all.

George Floyd was one of the nicest men I have ever known. He was also selfless as we can see from his decision to postpone a college scholarship to serve in the Navy during WWII and wait for his college experience until after the war.
If more people were like George Floyd, the world would be a better place.
I will miss him. Charlie Carpenter
