Georgia Ann Phipps

COLUMBIA A funeral service for Georgia Ann Phipps, 77, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Olympia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2020, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Phipps died Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Walter Leon and Dorothy Louise Goodwin Clarkson. A former member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, she loved her family and lived happily in the same home for 49 years. She enjoyed flowers and cooking.

Surviving are her daughters, Ronda Ann Roberts, Shirley Renee Promanee (Song), Debbie Yvonne Phipps; brother, Tommy L. Clarkson (Barbara); sister, Jackie Quarles; six grandsons; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and partner of 17 years, Robert Torok. She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Leslie Mitchell Phipps and her son, Thomas Mitchell Phipps.
