Mr. Gregory Nelson Wilson Sr.

COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Gregory Nelson Wilson, Sr., 65, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Horrell Hill Baptist Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 until 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Mr. Wilson passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Walter Wilson, Jr. and Edith Lucille Rabon Wilson of Columbia. He was a Vietnam Veteran for the U.S. Navy and also recently retired. Beloved husband, father and brother, surviving are his wife of 37 years, Barbara Russell Wilson; sons, Gregory Nelson Wilson, Jr., Russell Monroe Wilson, Calvin Nichlos Wilson all of Columbia; daughter, Amanda Leigh Wilson of Columbia; stepson, Tony L. Altman of Columbia; brothers, Stephen Hanes Wilson, Ronald Monroe Wilson; sister, Terri Wilson Anderson of Columbia. He also enjoyed his grandchildren, Michael Altman, Stephanie Lynn Wilson, Stephen Hanes Wilson, Gregory “Trey” Nelson Wilson III, Rebecca Wilson, Cara Lorraine Wilson, Trenton Daniel Coffey; and great grandchildren, Emma, Elizsabeth, and Aiden.
