Hazel Hardin Cox
March 24, 1938 – January 14, 2023

COLUMBIA - Hazel Hardin Cox, 84, received her glorious heavenly crown on January 14, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family with receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Hazel was born in Spartanburg County to Willar and Annie Sue Donnahoo Hardin. Hazel retired with 41 years of service at OBGYN Associates as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church and enjoyed camping and decorating cakes. Hazel was a member of the Tanglefoot Square Dancing Club.
In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Carl James Cox, Sr., and two infant daughters, Pam and Deborah. Survivors include her children, Carl James Cox, Jr, Jeffrey Cox (Eva Julia), Jennifer Benson; six grandchildren, Jay Cox (Martha), Christopher Cox (Ashley), William Cox, Miles Cox, Gabriel Cox, Ian Cox; and three great grandchildren, Laken, Blayne, and Jackson.
