Jean Schuppert Kirkham

COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Jean S. Kirkham, 87, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana, with interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery to follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Kirkham died Sunday, March 13, 2016, 31 minutes short of her 88th birthday. Born March 14, 1928 in Corydon, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Minnie Fisher Schuppert. She graduated from Corydon Central High School in 1946 with her husband to be, John T. Kirkham. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, John S. and Susan M. Kirkham of Mechanicsville, Va., Jim and Lori Kirkham of Columbia; grandchildren, Jack Kirkham of Mechanicsville, Va., Jenni Broadway (Will) of Atlanta, Ga., and Jason Kirkham (Ashley) of Columbia; great-grandchildren, Ryon Addison Kirkham and Reagan Jean Kirkham of Columbia. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, John T. Kirkham and her brother, Robert Schuppert. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of NHC Healthcare, Parklane, for their loving care of “Mrs. Jean.” Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001, in hopes that someday this disease will no longer exist.
