Jeff was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be remembered for his love of family and the many interests that brought him happiness throughout his life. He had a particular passion for wooden boats and woodworking and enjoyed learning about and studying WWII history.
He enjoyed skiing at Beech Mountain and spending his summer days relaxing and making memories at Holden Beach.
He especially treasured spending time offshore fishing with his sons, creating memories that his family will carry with them for years to come.
Above all, Jeff was a family man. His greatest joy was his children and grandchildren, and he took great pride in the time he spent with them. His love for his family was evident in the many ways he shared his time, interests, knowledge, and memories with those closest to him.
Jeff is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Coleman Jr. and Jonathon Coleman (Ashley); his grandchildren, Jack Coleman, Garrett Coleman, and Emily Coleman; and his siblings, Russell Coleman (Gina) and Ellen Schiesser (Robert).
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Coleman; his father, Rey Coleman; and his mother, Roberta Stork Coleman.
Jeffrey will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and, most importantly, a family who loved him dearly. His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, and the many lives he touched throughout his 66 years.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Kendall Harris, RN; Crystal, CNA; Levern Peterson, caretaker; and the entire Prisma Health Hospice team for their compassionate care, kindness, and support provided to Jeff and his family. Their dedication and comfort will never be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 19th at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with a visitation following.
