He leaves behind his loving wife, Amy Wong, his brother Simeon Preston Papas, and many beloved family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Nancy Papas and John Papas Jr., and his brother Rickie John Papas.
John lived life to the fullest. He supported world peace, attending the World Peace Conference in Sweden in 2019 and 2023. He loved classic cars and attended car shows, enjoyed gardening, treasured his many memorable trips to Thailand, and found joy in rock music and was a closet K-pop fan.
He was dedicated, hard working, and always lifted up those around him. His kindness, generosity, and love for life made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
A funeral service will be held on at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, with visitation at 10:00 am and Trisagion Service at 10:30 am. Burial will be held at 12:00 pm in Greenlawn Cemetery.
