

A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
John was born July 6, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA the son of the late Michael and Marie Kostelnick Papinchak. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force for four years, where he was stationed in England and retired from ABB as a supervisor of the Kirk Key Interlock Systems. John enjoyed the outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing or cutting grass. He was an extensive collector of guns and a talented woodworker. One of John's many passions was training dogs, especially German Shepards and was a training member for the Greater Columbia Obediance Club. Most importantly, he was a dedicated husband, loving father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sisters, Ruth Kuchta of Jolliet, IL and Martha Dayton of Vermillion, Ohio.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joan M. Papinchak; sons, John R. Papinchak (Suzanne) and Gary Papinchak (Kim); daughter, Debbie Marsh (Jim); nine grandchildren, Sean Knee-Papinchak (Donnie), Seth Marsh, Jason Papinchak (Melissa), Nichole Duckett (Dustin), Matthew Papinchak, Abraham Marsh, Adam Papinchak, and Abigail Marsh, Simon Marsh; sister, Helen Kline; brother, James Papinchak (Sylvia); and life-long friend, Bill Bradford and his wife, Joanne.
