Mr. Burnside was one of the most honorable and loving men that I have ever had the true privilege of knowing. As a kid growing up and having his son John as a classmate and friend I got to spend a lot of time on the farm. Mr. Burnside and his brother Alfred always showed me how things worked on the farm, rode me around on a tractor and John and I would play for hours building forts in the hay barn. No kid could have had such a good time as we did down on the farm. God rest your soul Sir, you will be truly missed and you are a legend in the farming and Lower Richland community. Thank you so much for the love and guidance you gave to me.

So very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. We have many wonderful memories with he and his family growing up. He was such a kind hearted sweet man that always had a kind word to share with you along with that special smile. He and his beautiful Zelle are together again watching over us all. You are all in our prayers.

The McElhaneys and Burnsides were friends from way back when.
Joe was chief when Jack was working with Capitol View Fire Department. I used to see Zell regularly in the library. Just couldn't be any nicer people and they have been missed so much. Praying for the family.

Was sadden to read of the passing of your dad. I remember both of your parents being gracious to me and interested in what was going on in my life while a member at Shandon Presbyterian Church.
