COLUMBIA - Joyce Martin McCaskill passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023. Born in Blackville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jerome Martin and Miriam Hutto Martin. For 35 years, she worked as an optician for Dr. JB Workman, Dr. Shepard N. Dunn, Dr. Fred R. Schwarz, Dr. Charles Peebles, and Dr. Rick Milne. Joyce was a devoted Christian who read her bible daily.
Surviving are her sons, JR (Reggie) McCaskill, Jr., and Dale McCaskill (Ronda); grandchildren, Kelly Melton (Kevin), and Jonathan Gibbons; four great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Tomlinson; four nieces; and one nephew.
The family wishes to thank her caregiver, Karen Anderson.
