COLUMBIA - A graveside service to celebrate the life of Juanita Louise Amick Dennis, 95, will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Juanita passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018. She was born September 10, 1922 in Lexington County to the late Claude Griffith Amick and Lydia Belle Harmon Amick. She enjoyed playing guitar and singing. She shared that love with her sons as she taught them to play. Juanita was a natural story teller , she gave the most sound advice through her experiences and was a sage of homespun philosophy.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Major James Allen Dennis, U.S. Army (Ret.). Survivors include her two sons, James Allen Price Dennis, Steve Claude Dennis both of Columbia, a nephew, John Curtis Amick, nieces, Cynthia Claudette Amick, Carolyn Sylvia Amick.
