

Born on August 28, 1952, in Morganfield, Kentucky, Kathy was a beloved mother, aunt, sister, and friend. She touched the lives of many with her sense of humor, warmth, creativity, curiosity, and outgoing nature. Kathy possessed disarming wit, and she was a wonderful conversationalist. Kathy was also a strong independent woman who did not suffer fools gladly.
Kathy was passionate about cooking, music (particularly Bob Dylan), movies (especially fantasy, science-fiction, and horror), crossword puzzles, and video games. Kathy had a lifetime love of dogs, and her life was enriched by her unwavering devotion to her four-legged companions.
After her graduation from Lowell High School, Kathy lived in Lowell, Massachusetts, and lovingly raised her two children while enjoying all that life had to offer. Later in life Kathy moved to Columbia, South Carolina, where she lived the last 24 years of her life with her longtime best friend Sandra Bell.
Kathy is survived by her son Raymond Ernest Dumont II, her nephew Edward Henry Reslow II, her grandchildren Zachary Austin Dumont and Allison Paige Dumont, her great-grandchildren Margo Mae Dumont and Mia Maria Dumont, her daughter-in-law Norma Griselda Dumont, and her siblings Vera Lee Plante, Lawrence Clements Goodrich II, Richard Eugene Goodrich, and Allen Dale Goodrich.
Kathy was preceded in death by her daughter Theresa Ann Dumont, her sister Shirley Ann Reslow, her parents Lawrence Clements Goodrich and Dorothy Olga Goodrich, and her former husband and father of her children Raymond Ernest Dumont.
Those who knew Kathy will remember her for her warm smile and joyous laughter. May she rest in peace.
