COLUMBIA – Laura Dizon Siazon, 80, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022. Born in Manila, Philippines, she was a daughter of the late Pioquinto Dizon and Florentina Ifurung Dizon. She worked as a psychiatrist for the SC Department of Mental Health. Laura was an active member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church and the Filipino community.
Surviving are her daughter, Michelle Noble (Ian) of Los Angeles, CA; her son, John-David Siazon of Brooklyn, NY; and her brothers, Rodolfo Dizon of Las Vegas, Luis Dizon of Phoenix, AZ, and Antonio Dizon of Los Angeles, CA. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Pedro Lizano Siazon, and her sisters, Gracia Velarde and Norma Singzon.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, January 24, 2022 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m.
