Mrs. Weiner died Wednesday, September 8, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Paul Margolin and Blanche Josephs Margolin. She graduated from Coker College, Catherine Spalding College, and the University of Louisville. She was the former president of American Association of University Women, and a member of Creative Writing Groups. Leatrice went on to work as a teacher. She was also the President Hadassah of the Tree of Life Synagogue.
Surviving are her daughters, Lucy Marrero and Debra Thomson; son, Allan Weiner; grandchildren, Golda, Jesse, Alissa, Jessica, and Shannon; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, David Wiener, and sister, Audrey Spitz.
