Louise C Sanders

Louise Christian Sanders COLUMBIA – Louise Christian Sanders, was born in Cornelia, Georgia on November 24,1937 and passed away on September 28, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Ira Max Christian and Kathryn Feagle Sanders. She resided in McCormick, SC until 2008, when she and her husband, Charlie, moved to Columbia. She was a member of McCormick First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher.

Louise is survived by her four children: Joy S. Cannon of Columbia, SC; Kim S. Schultz of Charlotte, NC; Charlie C. "Chuck" Sanders, Jr. (Kim) of Kershaw, SC; and Stanley M. Sanders (Britton) of Woodbridge, CT, ten grandchildren: Ashley S. Odom (Adam), Molly S. Belhiteche (Florian) of Paris, France; Charlie C. "Chad" Sanders, III of Charlotte, NC; Christian A. Sanders (Aryn) of Dover, DE, Amanda B. Sanders of Norwalk, CT; Shannon Sanders of New Haven, CT, Ryan Sanders of New York City and Kerri Sanders of Garner, NC, Declan and Finn Sanders of Woodbridge, CT; four great grandchildren: Carrie Lyn and Ella Odom, Charlotte and Anne Belhiteche; step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Louise was predeceased by her parents, Ira Christian and Kathryn Sanders; stepfather, Levis R. Sanders; husband of 69 years, Charlie Sanders; sister, Maxine Granger; and sons-in-law, Zim Cannon and Ken Schultz.

Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and her family and friends will miss her loving, caring and generous spirit. She utilized her many talents over the years working at a ceramics shop, painting and wallpapering homes, sewing, and gardening. She also loved visiting her “happy place” in the mountains at Brevard, NC.

The family would like to thank the numerous caregivers over the years at Wildewood Downs, The Palmettos of Parklane, Right at Home and Interim HealthCare for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Connie Maxwell Children's Home, 810 Maxwell Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
