He served his country proudly during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corp.
Mr. Clayton was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Marilyn Corn Clayton. He is survived by a son, Mack Clayton III and three daughters, Kerri (Andy) Walters, Kelly Gilley and Kim (Eric) Cheek. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Andrew (Tori) Walters, Ashley (Adam) Koontz and Kristen Walters, as well as four great-grandchildren, James and Rillan Koontz and Ripley and Willa Walters.
As were his wishes, there will be no formal service. Interment and Military Honors will be private at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to LaVisa Brooks of Providence Care, who took such loving care of Mack over the last 9 months.
