
COLUMBIA - A graveside service for Margaret Windhorn Floyd, 86, will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Reverend David Bauser officiating the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mrs. Floyd passed away after a long illness on September 6, 2016 in Columbia. She was born May 26, 1930, to John Lomas Windhorn and Rosa Mae Folk Windhorn of Blythewood and named for her paternal grandmother. She was a lifelong resident of Columbia and a lifelong member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church. She retired from the S.C. State Accident Fund in the late ‘80s. She enjoyed working in her yard, especially on Thursdays, and reading. She is survived by her brother, Robert E. Windhorn (Mickey) of Blythewood, sister-in-law, Ann Windhorn of Irmo, an extensive family of nieces and nephews, and her special friend, Jack Sharpe of West Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew J. Floyd; her sisters Kathryn Price, Mary Elizabeth Teskey, Helen Anderson, and Rosalind Baucom; and her brothers John Lomas Windhorn Jr. and Jerry M. Windhorn.
