COLUMBIA - Margaret “Peggy” Lovvorn, 93, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Matthew and Margaret Hufnagel; her sister, Frances Olsen; her husband of 43 years, Dixon Cannon Lovvorn; and her daughter, Melissa Rupp Davis.
Surviving are her sons, Michael Rupp (Sheri), Matthew W. Rupp (Teresa), and Dixon Cannon Lovvorn, Jr. (Bridget); five grandchildren, Jennifer Lovvorn, Jefferson Lovvorn, Stephen G. Rupp, Patrick I. Rupp, and Corey Cooper; niece, Susan Windum; and nephew, Steve Olsen.
She loved playing golf with friends at Forest Lake Country Club and was also an avid reader.
A private graveside service will be held in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Salvation Army, P.O. Box 241808, Charlotte, NC 28224.
