Margie Louise Adams

Hopkins-Services for Margie Louise Adams, 84, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Leading the service will be Rev. Glen McGugan, Sr. assisted by Rev. Chucky Chandler. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Affectionately known as "Granny Lou", she passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 24, 2016. Born in Pleasant Hill Township, Lancaster County SC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth Blackmon Adams. She retired from Westinghouse and attended Virginia Street Church of God of Prophecy in Columbia for many years.

She is survived locally by loving family Joe (Hazel) Adams, Michael (Donna) Adams, Justin (Tessa) Adams, Jordan Adams, Don McGee, the McGee girls and their respective families, as well as Patty Slack in Florida. She is also survived by best friend Carolyn Jones. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by a brother Frank Rollins, grandchild Christopher Adams and lifelong friend Eva Lois "Tenn" Irons.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Church of God of Prophecy, 1203 Virginia Street, Columbia SC 29201.
